You Deserve a Therapist Who Gets It.
Meet the clinicians who don’t just understand the work, but have lived it, trained for it, and gotten damn good at navigating it.
WE GET IT BECAUSE WE’VE LIVED IT.
At PWS, we don’t pretend life is easy or healing is linear.
Each therapist on our team merges extensive clinical training with real-life experience.
While we recognize that each person’s circumstances and needs are different, we've navigated messy family dynamics, differences in relationships, anxiety, burnout, parenting neurodivergent kids, loss, and gut-wrenching decisions.
We know what it’s like to feel stuck, and we know what it takes to move forward.
That’s why our approach is direct and compassionate while being tailored to your specific journey.
We prioritize strategic and grounded accountability for humans ready for real, sustainable change without therapy-speak or performative responses.
She is also a Level II trained Gottman Method couples therapist and has completed comprehensive research on Iraqi war veterans who experienced post-traumatic stress disorders (PTSD).
Dr. Courtney is trained in Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Solution-Focused Therapy, Family Systems, Acceptance and Commitment, and Mindfulness techniques.

LICENSED CLINICAL PSYCHOLOGIST & FOUNDER OF PWS
-
I’ve wanted to be a therapist for as long as I can remember. What I didn’t know back then was just how much living would shape the way I show up in this work.
I’ve been the anxious, perfectionistic kid who couldn’t figure out why learning felt harder than it should. I’ve been in relationships that left me second-guessing myself. I’ve failed big, started over, and sat on the other side of the therapist’s couch more than once.
Those lived experiences are part of why I founded Psychological Wellness Services in 2014: to create a practice where people feel empowered, supported, and challenged to grow in real, sustainable ways.
I specialize in Discernment Counseling and work with couples on the brink of divorce who need clarity, not pressure. I’m currently one of only nine clinicians completing the Master Practitioner Fellowship in Discernment Counseling under its founder, Dr. Bill Doherty.
When I’m not in session, I’m a mom to two incredible boys—one who is neurodivergent with ADHD, and both with learning differences. I’m married to my husband (we met back in the pre-app dating site days), and we have a golden retriever, Josie, who I’m currently training to be a service dog for ADHD and OCD.
I believe therapy should be honest, personalized, and structured to make real progress. If you’re in the thick of it and ready to figure out what’s next, I get it, and I’d be honored to help.
LICENSED CLINICAL SOCIAL WORKER & PSYCHOTHERAPIST
-
We all need space to slow down and hear ourselves think. My work is about helping people create that space with compassion and curiosity, and I’ve spent more than two decades supporting adults through personal and professional transitions.
My background blends clinical social work with real-world experience in human resources, organizational development, and business consulting. That means I’m just as comfortable helping clients navigate anxiety and life transitions as I am guiding them through career changes, workplace dynamics, or returning to their workplace after time away.
In session, I’m present, nonjudgmental, and collaborative. I believe you’re the expert in your own life. My role is to help you get reacquainted with your voice, values, and next step forward.
Whether you’re overwhelmed by decisions, navigating complex relationships, or simply feeling disconnected from yourself, I’m here to help you reconnect and move forward with more clarity and confidence.
Your thoughts and feelings sound different when you externalize them, and feeling heard can be freeing and enable you to connect to yourself on a deeper level.
I’m excited to accompany you on this transformative journey!
RESIDENT THERAPIST IN CLINICAL PSYCHOLOGY

Everyone deserves a safe space to be fully seen, heard, and affirmed…especially those who’ve spent a lifetime being silenced and overlooked. That’s exactly what I create in therapy: space to show up honestly, unpack what hurts, and build the tools to move forward with power and self-trust.
With 15 years of experience as a therapist, mental health advocate, consultant, and educator across schools, hospitals, community mental health, and private practice, I’ve supported clients of all ages and backgrounds through trauma, identity development, family dynamics, and systemic challenges.
My clinical work is rooted in diversity, equity, and inclusion, and I specialize in working with Black, Indigenous, People of Color, LGBTQIA+ and gender-expansive individuals, and those navigating chronic mental health challenges.
On the couch, I bring an integrative approach that blends evidence-based practices with creative expression, psycho-education, and a resounding belief in the resilience of my clients.
When I’m not in sessions, I lead programs for youth, speak at organizations on mental health and empowerment, and authored In My Safe Space (a collection of writings that normalize vulnerability and make healing feel more accessible).
Therapy isn’t about fixing people. It’s about helping you reclaim the parts of yourself that you’ve been taught to hide. That’s the work I love most, and I’m honored to do it here at PWS.
