Psychological Wellness Services
Where Clinical Expertise Meets
No-Nonsense Honesty
Counseling for individuals and couples willing to take the necessary steps for a healthier future.
Most people don’t come to us because things are going great. They come because they’re overwhelmed, conflicted, and at a point where something has to shift.
Whether you’re questioning your marriage, working through patterns that feel suffocating, or hanging on by a thread day-to-day, we’re here to help.
Psychological Wellness Services offers therapy that meets you where you are but challenges you to grow beyond it.
I’m Dr. Courtney Freiman, the founder of Psychological Wellness Services, and at PWS, we know everyone walks into therapy carrying something.
Sometimes they’re carrying trauma, sometimes it’s resentment, perfectionism, anxiety, grief, or just years of roughing reality.
When I started this practice in 2014, I didn’t want to build just another private therapy office based on superficial reassurance and limited follow-through. I wanted to create a safe space where people felt seen, challenged, and held accountable.
My goal was to build a team of clinically sharp and compassionate clinicians unafraid of hard conversations. And that’s exactly what you find at Psychological Wellness Services!
Whether you’re coming to us as an individual navigating the ups and downs of life or as part of a couple ready to learn how to argue fairly and solve problems together, we’re here to help you sort through the mess, get clear on what matters, and take intentional steps toward the life you desire.
We don’t believe in one-size-fits-all therapy, so we adjust our sessions to be unique to you…because you’re not like everyone else. And you deserve care that respects and reflects that.
Dr. Courtney Freiman, Psy.D.
Licensed Clinical Psychologist & Founder of PWS
Whether you need a cheerleader for support or a mentor for your next moves, we're here to help.
We offer two distinct paths of collaborative therapy for support tailored to who you are, where you are, and what you need:
Therapy for Individuals & Couples
Say goodbye to the pressure of holding it all together.
From anxiety, ADHD, and burnout to emotionally immature parents, accountability-resistant partners, and necessary identity shifts, this is where you get clear on what’s running your show and find unique tools that support the life that you want.
Discernment Counseling for Couples on the Brink of Divorce
When one partner is leaning out of your marriage and the other is leaning in, you don’t need couples therapy. You need Discernment Counseling.
This short-term, structured process helps you to slow down and achieve clarity to make a confident decision about what’s next for your marriage without shame, pressure, or dragging it out.
Dr. Courtney earned her Doctorate degree in Clinical Psychology from the American School of Professional Psychology (ASPP) in Washington, D.C (2010). She’s also on track to become 1 of 9 Master Practitioners for Discernment Counseling worldwide (December 2025).
She spent 8 years working at private practices, including community mental health centers, inpatient psychiatric hospitals, mental health providers, and other clinical settings before starting Psychological Wellness Services in 2014.
